MYST 105 What I Don’t Want To Do

We all have tasks in our lives that we would rather avoid. That is human nature. But no matter how we feel about some activities, if we ignore them, the problem does not go away. That means we need to face up to what must be done. Even if we really don’t enjoy it.

MYST 102: Anxiety and Weight Loss

We all have anxiety, and it can be debilitating. But when you are trying to lose weight, anxiety will actually slow your ability to lose. Wrose than that, it could actually make you gain weight.

Why? Anxiety causes biological responses within your body. Those responses are automatic and uncontrollable. But, I will give you one action that you can take to reverse those same biological responses. It costs nothing. It takes only 1-2 minutes.

Listen and give it a try!

MYST 101 Diet Disasters

What are you going to do when–not if–you have a diet disaster? How are you going to move beyond the realization that you made bad choices and move towards success?

This bus is moving toward it's planned route. What are you going to do when your personal diet-bus crashes?

MYST 100: Trevor’s Team

Finally! The time has come to actually help you directly, not just by creating these episodes!

Do you want to look like this?            Me, at 265 pou

Or would you rather look like this?

MYST 99: CHAF

You’ve probably heard the phrase “to separate the wheat from the chaff”. That means to remove the bad part of something, leaving the desirable part readily available.

That’s not what CHAF is. It is another acronym that I made up (it goes along with GOYLA.)

I reference a junk food diet that can lead to weight loss. Here is the article: “Twinkie Diet”

MYST 98: GOYLA

I’m a nurse and we love our acronyms. Today we are talking about GOYLA and how GOYLA is one tool in your toolbox for weight loss. It may be the key to your success!

MYST 97: Wrong Tools, Wrong Results

If you need to hang a picture on a wall, you need to first place a nail in the wall. You can use a frying pan (I know that it has been done) but a hammer will give you better results. Likewise, if you need to tighten a screw, you can use a butter knife or a screwdriver. Both will turn the screw, but one will be more efficient.

There are many ways to accomplish most goals. Not every method will be as effective as others. And sometimes you choose a tool–or method–that should work, but when you use it, you do not achieve the success you expect.

The failure might not be yours. It may be that the tool you chose was the wrong tool.

MYST 96: Decision Fatigue Can Derail You!

What are you going to wear to work? What are you going to eat for breakfast? Which route are you taking to work? Where are you eating for lunch? What project are you taking care of first?

How many decisions do you make before arriving home? And then you need to decide: What is on the menu for dinner? Not only that, but what are you going to eat that is healthy and will help you make progress to your weight loss goal?

You make many decisions each day. Let’s talk about making decisions when it will give you the greatest chance of success!

I also reference Episode 94 (Planning Ahead).

This is NOT when you want to make your decisions!
