MYST 165 Lose Weight Fast

Everyone wants to lose weight fast! People join competitions at work to see who loses the most in the shortest period of time. There are websites where people can bet money that they can success while others fail.

Guess what?

None of that matters. I don’t care how fast I lose. I don’t care how fast you lose. And until I reach my goal weight, I don’t care how much I lose each week. The only thing that matters is that I continue to lose.

You don’t need to eat special (okay, the first photo isn’t “special” it’s just strange” food to lose weight. You don’t need smoothies, or powders, or apple cider vinegar or fat-melting detoxes.

You just need to eat correctly. Today. And tomorrow. And every day after that.

  1. This is a great show, and I wish more could hear it because it is so true. Also, maintaining is so much more a balancing act, but it is also another learning time. I am having to learn that I can eat a little more, but I have to except that I cannot eat as much as I want. My biggest issue is ‘salt’, salt gives me water weight gains then as I do not eat that much salt all the time I ‘lose weight” which really is only water weight coming back off after a salt overload.

By the way I made it through the Holidays without any real weight gain, which is a total surprise. I normally lose weight in the spring and summer. I will have to see how that goes this year.
I always find that you come up with the right show at the right time.

    • Charles, I am happy that this was a timely show for you. Unlike you, I experienced a holiday bulge–not huge, but something I am working on.

      Stay fired up!

  2. Hi Trevor,
Thank you SO much for these podcasts.
What a wealth of information for our healthiest selves!
This is Donna S (drivermama) from Lose It!
Before I heard this particular episode, I thought it would not apply to me because I am not trying to lose weight fast.
Now, I am going to re-listen to it when I can take notes.
I have been successfully losing weight since July 5, 2017 by simply logging everything I ingest, having a good steps per day goal using Fitbit, along with the social interaction on Fitbit + Lose It.
After re-listening to this episode, & using the new Fitbit Aria scale my husband got for Christmas (plus the big, clunky, old fashioned, MD scale w sliding weights that I’ve been using for years), I plan to follow this plan to get to know my body better.
    Why?
Because I know that getting to & maintaining a healthy lifetime weight is more than primarily counting calories.
Plus this path is not a race to a number on the scale, it’s a marathon to achieve & maintain the healthiest me possible.
    Again, thank you very much.

    • Donna, thanks for being a listener, and for that wonderful feedback. I am thrilled when my ideas resonates with others. Keep listening and make sure you send me ideas for future shows!

  3. Trevor, thank you so much for these podcasts. I really needed to hear these. This is amazing. I can’t thank you enough.
